Computer Forensics

Computer Forensic Services

Evidence is the essential goal to any investigation, and computer forensics is a form of evidence that is increasingly required, especially in corporate fraud cases.

However, there are many other practices apart from criminal or civil investigations. For example a common use today is for internal disciplinary where an employee has beached computer usage policies.

At INTELLIGENTS UK we have a high degree of capability and experience for computer forensics, which are able to be used for:

  • Unauthorised transfers of confidential information
  • Intellectual property theft
  • Employee internet abuse
  • Industrial espionage
  • Criminal fraud and deception cases
  • Employment law investigation

Our Computer Forensics division follows a strict procedure, which is as follows:

  1. Secure the computer unit(s) in question to prevent tampering
  2. Produce a copy of the hard drive
  3. Identify and recover all files (including recoverable deleted files)
  4. Access / copy hidden, protected and temporary files
  5. Investigate data / settings from installed applications and programmes

After we have completed our analysis of the computer we will produce a detailed and accurate report, informing the client of the outcome. We are also able to arrange for our experts to produce a witness statement.

Our experts are experienced in giving evidence in criminal, as well as civil, cases as expert witnesses.
